Broken Steering Bracket-Yamaha 115TLRR

My steering bracket broke at the second hole over the weekend while on the water, it was corroded pretty bad. I'm looking to replace the whole middle unit instead of buying the new bracket for $350 and taking everything apart. My question is can I use a middle unit from a 91 or 92 150 Yamaha motor. The powerhead gasket is the same for both motors, but I do see some different part numbers for some of manifold exhaust part number starting with a 6G5 instead of the 6E5 (on the 115TLRR). I don't want any performance issues.

Probably not the 115 is a V4 and a 150 is a V6, probably has different exhaust.

Thanks, I thought as long as the powerhead gasket matched up since everything flows thru it would work.
