  • C60 trim motor replacement

    How tough of a job is it? Any special tools required?? Suggestions?

    If it's been in saltwater bolts may break, back bolts are hard to get to.

      appreciate that. salt woes pretty much expected. sounds like it is just a swap with no other special tools needed. probably good time to replace screen as well.

        Not sure about the C60 , but on my C40 I pulled the top pin with motor locked in up position and tilted T&T unit out away from transom far enough to get to the back bolt.

        The foam filter fell apart when I removed it, had to do some clean up and wait for part to come in. They did not keep the filer in stock at the local Yamaha shop
