Salt buildup in L250.

Water pressure gauges have clogged with salt several times. Both engines have 300 hrs. and have always beeen flushed per the manual. Anyone else heard of this problem? Whats the low-down on Salt Away? Does it work.

Haven't got much feed back on using Salt Away but I would give it a try, otherwise you would need to take apart and clean all water passages.

It's not an uncommen problem. See this link. Yamaha refuses to admit it is a design flaw. If the fitting mentioned in the attached link were stright, one could disconnect the hose and clean it with a wire. Since the fitting is an elbow there is no way to get a wire around the corner. The salt, sand. whatever really gets packed in there tight.
