I have just purchased a new G3 Pontoon boat with a Yamaha 150 Four Stroke. In the process of adding a second battery and a Perko dual battery switch I created a dead short while mounting the switch. I got one of the mounting screws into one of the battery leads thus creating a short which overheated the bonding cable down on the lower unit. After quickly removing the screw and moving the battery lead, all seems well except that I burnt the insulation off of the bonding cables. Am I going to be ok, or should I purchase new cables and install them. The cables are intact and secured to their proper points. As I stated everything works fine now. Thanks Jeff
