I have a 1992 Yamaha ProV200 and would like to know if there is a fuse in line for the key switch in the control box at the drivers side? I have power to the solenoid and power to the front tilt and trim switches, but thats all. No power to the tilt and trim switches on the control handle or engine, no power to the dash board, and the solenoid will not activate. Will not start!!

The only fuse are the ones on engine, if eng fuse ok then may have a broken wire in main harness between engine and key switch.

Thanks! I checked the two inline fuses, one is a 20A and the other is a 30A. The 20A blows when the battery is hooked up and the 30A will blow when you turn the key on. I think you are right, that there is a short in the wiring between the key control and the engine. I am going to try and track down the wires in the harness to see if I can find the one thats bad and bypass it. That harness is one of the hardest things to get to on my ranger!

Make sure you are hooking up the battery in the proper direction
