I have a 2004 Yamaha F75 that will not turn over when you turn key. I have checked all the fuses and they were OK, have checked neutral switch and it is OK. I can start the engine if I jump the solenoid with a screwdriver. Engine also does not charge but this problem started about a month before current problem and I keep battery charged with charger so I doubt they are related.

It is a bad idea to not fix a known problem with a motor and keep running it, a problem can cause other problems on newer motors.
get a voltmeter and start testing to see where you are getting voltage and where you are not,
Key switch has to have voltage before it can send it to the start relay

When I turn key to on position there is power at the yellow wire only, when I turn to start position there is still power at yellow wire only. There is power at the relays on the engine and at the starter. I can start engine if I turn key on and jump with screwdriver on top relay on engine. Which wire sends power back to engine from ignition switch?
