yamaha wiring converstion old to new

I want to put a 1998 225hp Yamaha on my boat from which i just took off a
1989 200 hp Yamaha the smaller of the two engine plugs do not match it has a 9 pin on the motor and a 3 pin and 4 separate wires on the old one on the boat I told there is a plug adapter available, does any one know the part number? also the 4 wires from the oil tank plug in to the motor but the colors don't match the the one on the boat thanks for any help

You would need 61A-ADPKT-94-93 Adapter harness set

thanks do you have a suggestion for wiring in the oil tank the wires on the tank harness don't match the ones on the engine. the tank and harness came with the new motor

If it's a 98 motor and a 98 oil tank it should connect, if it's an pre 94 oil tank then adapter will be in that kit.
