trim and tilt assy

i have a t8plhz outboard motor. when i push the trim and tilt switch all it dose is kick kick. the motor does raiser or lower. is the tilt motor?.ball98239@yahoo.com

Remove the trim motor wires(trace wires to trim motor to make sure have right wires) from relay and connect to a 12 volt battery, trim motor should run, if doesn't trim motor is bad.

if the motor does move with direct 12 volts than one or more of the relays and or solenoid is bad, check for corroded wiring.
