multifunction gauge help 1993

Hello. I need help. I just purchased a stratos with a 1993set pro v 150 Yamaha on it. Whoever owned the boat before me didn't concern themselves with wiring.the gauges do come on. there is no illumination. And the fuel icon and temperature icon
just flashes. I'm thinking they are not hooked up. The oil warning horn does work. But the gauge never changes. Any help would be appreciated. I have a few wires on the speed and temp that are not hooked to anything.

Here is the diagram for the 1994-2005 gauges, your's uses different harness but basically the same.
