Weird poblem..Carb 150 VMax not firing sometimes.

I'm having a strange isssue with my 2009 carb 150hp VMax the last two trips.
Motor will run perfectly normal through out the day, stop, fish, run to another spot, over and over. Then, one time the last 2 trips it will crank, but not fire.
I crank it over and over..nothing. I can smell gas, so I'm thinking electrical. After a few minutes, it will then fire up and problem wont repeat itself the rest of the day. I kinda thought at first it was maybe something the safety kill switch, but cant get the problem to repeat. Last time I experienced this issue it was after a short 5 minute run, shut off for 5 minutes, go move, crank..crank..crank..nothing..sit for 5 then fires...weird?

You need to check spark while it will not start to make sure it is loss of spark, could be flooding maybe if you can smell it

check for loose neutral switch in throttle

JB, would a loose neutral switch allow it to even crank?
I know if the throttle lever is not in neutral, it wont even try to crank.
