1998 250 powerhead replacement

I'm replacing the powerhead on a LX 250 TXRW and the distributer has a LX 250 TXRX and Y powerhead. I thought the powerheads on 1997-2000 are the same. I'm I correct. Would a SX powerhead of the same model and year span also work. Any advice would be appriciated. Thank you.

Yes 1997-2000 use same powerhead.
