I have an 02 115 HP, 4 on a Sea Hunt dual console I bought used. The tach was not working when I bought it but other functions were. In quick succession I lost the speedometer as well. I suspect an electrical issue. Where should I look?
The speedomter doesn't require electrical power to work probably have a plugged pickup tube on gearcase of outboard. If it has Yamaha gauge harness then the tach should have 12 volts at yellow wire with key switch in on position.
