yam50 4s smoking

i just bought a al. boat 16.5 ft with a 50yam 4s
the motor is a 2003 brand new and wondering
if it is normal when it is idleling i see a bit of white smoke
every thing else seems to be ok it has only 10h
of fishing

I'm not familiar with that model, but if it is a two stroke, then you are going to see a little white smoke - that's the TCW-3 oil burning.

My apologies - I should have noted the "4s" meant "four stroke".
I am not familiar with the four strokes, but I would not think it should be burning enough oil to be noticeable.
Is it possible that some oil could have been put into the main tank, maybe at the dealers?
