150 Yamaha Water Pump Rebuild

First time rebuilding the water pump on a 2000 Yamaha 150. There is a collar, spacer and washers on top of the impeller which need to be removed before replacing the impeller. I can't seem to remove the collar. Can anyone recommend the best way to get it off?

Do a web search on that , there are even u tube stuff on it.
Put the cup back on and then pry against it or cut it off and replace with new

flat screwdrivers on sides, should work up no prob
