Hi all, I am renovating a Yamaha 6G8 9.9hp 4 stroke - she has a broken skeg with about 2 inches left in a shark's fin shape. Has anyone ever repaired one of these before or has any ideas as to a possible remedy. Thanks - Mike
You can buy skeg guards that bolt and glue on. You can also repair by welding on a new piece, depending on how much you have to replace will determine if you have to remove and strip out the gearcase before welding.
