Probably because of lack of sales, not many people bought them.

The standard pump is Stainless Steel and pretty darn durable, and if you replace the water pump kit every year or 2 or 3, then it's doubtful that Stainless Steel pump body would ever wear out. Heck, the impellar would wear out first! Good Luck!
