Possible a Nisan or Tahatsu but unsure of hp.

Thanks for info boats.net but was told was a yamaha engine also,has numbers 65600 printed on side if block 66400 on head and 65601 on top of pully,any other ideas please..... Cheers Dean

If it is Yamaha it must be a older European model.

it is a yamaha and it is european and i think it is actually a 28hp as i have the same engine but only has pull start my model is 28a your model must be 28e the E might mean electric start

This looks like a late 70's suzuki.

Defo a yamaha took my hood off and compared to your pics this engine is the same apart fom starter
