  • 2005 115 TLR Wet Spark Plugs

I have a 2005 115 TLR 2 stroke. a few days ago it started sounding strang when running at about half throttle, and when slowed to idle it would cough and kill. it would start back up easily but would immediately cough and kill. All 4 Plugs were wet. any ideas?

Thanks. Im gonna get the carbs cleaned and diaphragm checked. I am leaning towards one of these being the problem since all 4 plugs were wet.

        Thanks

Sorry it took so long to get back. I took the carbs apart and cleaned them. they were filthy. put them back on and motor runs like new. thanks for the advice.

Maybe install a fuel/water separator type canister filter and use a fuel stabilizer like Stabil or Seafoam to help keep water, trash, varnish out of carbs. Not a bad idea to drain each carb with drain plug on float bowl, a couple of times a year to keep debris from accumulating in float chambers. Prevention is cheaper and less time consuming than dirty carbs. Good Luck
