1994 Yamaha 250hp 2 stroke outboard approx 300hrs run time

They were not know for being good on gas and had some carb problems but are ok engines.

Yea, yea, run 'em hard and they go through gas and oil like beer at a frat party. Just keep them below 4000 RPM and they aren't too bad. BUT they don't have all the bells & whistles to go wrong like your read on this forum. Guessing you're getting a good deal because of the old technology. Just look what a new 250 4-stroke costs compared to what your are paying.
