Command link kit 6y8-we83s-10-00 on 07 key west 2300wa w/ F225

I'm thinking about buying the Command Link Communication kit to swap out my analog gauges for digital. I'd like to know my fuel info and hours on engine, etc, etc. I believe that I can use kit 6Y8-WE83S-10-00. Would I need to buy anything else beyond the items listed below that are in the kit? Do I need a cable between the 2 Multi-hub assemblies? Also, I noticed the back of the square meters are round. Does that mean they'd fit inside the openings for my round meters?

Yes that kit will work a 07 F225. You also need one Bus Wire to go between the 2 hubs, they are available in:

Why not go with NMEA 2K setup and show everything about your engine on your electronics? Much easier and cheaper!

Would that give me that hours on my engine and warning codes?

I'd have to buy the new electronics to do that and that may cost me more than the $950 or so for the Command link set-up. Although, the boat came with an older Garmin GPS/Fishfinder that I've bene thinking about replacing.

I see that Lowrance and Raymarine both have the NMEA 2k interface. Lowrance makes a cable that connects directly to the Yamaha and then to the backbone. Can this cable also be used for the Raymarine? The only other cable I've found connects to the Command link system. With that I'd still have to buy the hub and cable to the Yamaha.

It might but never tried it, I think Maretron makes a data cable that would work.
