[1988 bayliner cc]

this is a new boat to me! I bought it after sitting for years, replaced plugs, "think I had a carb job done, I Know I paid for it" replaced fuel/water seperator, new water pump etc... bottom line the boat didnt run but now it does, it runs great on the ear muffs, idles, throttles up... when I put it in the water it still runs good at idle maybe can get up to about 12mph give it more throttle and it dies... any ideas? no gas leaks that i can see.

what is the compression on all cylinders?
How is the fuel pumps?
If all are good then you probably have had some trash, water, bad fuel, or dried up fuel residue turn loose from fuel pump, or lines and plugged up the carbs again.
