703 remote ign wire

I'm sure this question has been asked/answered elsewhere in the forum, but I can't seem to get the search feature to work. Anyway, I need to know what color the ignition wire is coming out of the remote. I'm hooking u p a fuel gauge. As near as I can tell by the schematic in the owners manual it looks like it should be yellow. The motor os a 87 50hp Yamaha of course 50ELH. Thanks for any help, and its a 703 remote. Thanks again

key on power should be Yellow

It would be as easy as that except I'm replacing everything on the boat, including the transom, so I don't have the motor mounted.
