Power Trim not holding ?

Hello Everyone Awsome Forum !
I have a F150txr That the power trim is not staying in the up position.
I checked the manual valve(screw) made sure it was tight still it goes up then little by little it goes down. NO leaks NO Air, dust cap on one of the ram
looks chewed up. Thanks for any replies.

Check fluid to make sure it's full.
Is it still under warranty?

Yes that was the first thing I checked and it was full. No warranty expired 3 years ago.

Then probably have a valve or check valve inside unit not seating properly, the manual release valve is the only one that can be removed and checked easily. That is not a easy trim unit to disassemble and get back together correctly, even service manual doesn't help to make all check balls and valves are in correct place.

"the manual release valve is the only one that can be removed and checked easily." That's what i'm going to check next. maybe there's some kind of debri or something on it. trying to keep it simple. thanks for the info.
