I have a question I am hoping somebody or sombodies can answer. I am switching an old mercury classic 50 off my pontoon boat to 2009 yamaha 40tlr fourstroke and need some help with riggin questions. I need to get a binnacle control, I guess the main 10 pin wire, throttle/shift cables, and a starter/key control. I have never done this and was wondering if somebody could give me insight on what exactly I need. The throttle/shift cables a guy told me I could use 3300's with yamaha ends. The binnacles I have found on ebay have a 6 pig tail wire coming out and the main control wire is a 10 pin. Do I need an adapter that goes to the control and ignition or what. And the ignitions I found have a 10 pin plug on them does this just plug into the 10 pin main. Also on the binnacle which I think was a 704 do I need a push to open throttle on it. Could somebody tell me where the cheapest place to find these things and maybe a parts number for them. I have found the binnacles used on ebay but the other parts (10 pin main approx 15 feet long, iginition key, and throttle/shift cables). I am picking the motor up tomarrow and I am trying to start ordering these things and educating myself on them.
