i have a 98 boston whaler conquest 21. i will purchase a 'kicker' shortly and mount same on a jackplate. any opinions about whether the 20hp pushes better than a 9.9hp high thrust. i know neither will get the boat above hull speed but, which will push and pull this type of boat better in wind, wave and current? thanks . . . .

I had Grady 24' with a Honda 9.9, works great for *****ing. I don't think you need anything more than that to *****. Upon saying that, it really depends on how fast you want to *****. My *****ing speed is under 5 mph. -
