YAMAHA V4 115 HP 1991 AUTOLUB, couldn't stop the engine...

Hello,

We 've just changed the sparks on this engine ( YAMAHA BR8HS-10 ), wich is running fine, but since this operation, made by a friend, we lost any way to stop the engine with the emergency button, or the key switch... curious...

I' ve tested the switchs with a multimeter, they are all fine, nothing was disconnected inside the command, or near the engine...

What could it be ? Maybe a bad ground return, but how could I test it ?

Does someone know where the kill signal is routed before the CDI unit and after the CDI.

Check continuity on white wire in main harness that goes between engine and ignition switch for open circuit.

problem solved!

I have retested the ground return to the CDI, there was an odd-sized cut on the white wire (kill), I put a new wire to the emergency switch,, now everything is allright.
