Drainlesss hoses ??

In my 115 2T Yam, there are 2 breathing (?) hoses on each side of the block, connecting the crankcase with the intake of the engine.
Anyone know exactly what they are there for ?
Could they be oiling moving engine parts such as bearings or crankshaft ?
Are they there to equalize pressures in the crankshaft ?
Any ideas anyone ?
