Hey guys,
First off Im new to the Forum, and want to say the info I've read so far has been very helpful.
I just bought a 1992 Ranger 481v with a 1999 Yamaha 150V-max on the back. I have a rack and pinion system on the boat already but the steering cables have gone bad. They are 11ft long and if Im correct I think I have to buy two to have them replaced. I was looking into the rotary systems thinking I could take the rack and pinion off and install the rotary and it would be cheaper in the long run. With the rotary system I feel like there will be little to no feed back to the driver. Yet, the boat came with the rack and pinion already put in place which leads me to believe that it would be better?
What do y'all think I should do? Any more information about the rotary steering system would be very helpful!
