HELP serial number to year ?

i have a BE55 Yamaha outboard engine plate reads 55BE 663-L-327335 there is an A stamped in the bottom right corner of the serial plate that denotes its a 1993 but the 663 denotes its a 1974 to 1979 but the BE was made in 1989 according to some sites can anybody confirm the year for me as iv been pulling my hair out

No we don't have a model/serial chart on motors outside the USA, we have no way of looking it up.

It is exactly as You assumed a 1993 motor. The 1993 production of this motor started with serial number 326049 and ended with 327975. Your username kennethwall makes me think You are Scandinavian, maybe even Swedish as I am..?

Just take a look at your spark plug wires.
If they are the original ones, than they would have a production year stamped on them
