225 Hp trim issues

I have a 04 225hp and the retaining pin for the PTT had come out and damaged my resevoir ,I have replaced the resevoir and cleaned out all the old oil and water but now the it struggles to trim up . It trims down great and will trim up great on the first stage but not on the last stage . Any ideas I really dont wanna replace the whole PTT

May still have dirty oil in it from the water, may need to be cleaned out again.
