Spe******ed fuel additive (STP Injector cleaner or anything similar) will do the job. However these are indicated more so for maintenance than actually treating bad fuel injectors.
If you face issues with the fuel injectors, you are better off removing them and cleaning them the proper way
I agree, if you keep running a motor that has problems with plugged screens or partially plugged ones you can/will hurt pistons from lean fuel/air ratio while you wait for it to get better from additives
Check posts by JB123. He removed his injectors and pryed the screens out with a knife. But if i was going throught the trouble pulling the injectors; I'd probably send them out. There is a guy on THT that cleans them at a reasonable cost.
are they not firing off as they should ?? remove breather box and watch
How can you tell if they're firing off correctly? I've seen the pics on the carb cleaner spray cans but looking in the throttle body it's hard to tell. Fuel dribbling out the injector? Thanks
