I have twin Yamaha 80s on my rib. A wharf dropped it onto concrete while they were attempting to put it in the water. As a result there was some damage to the hull and the steel shaft on the tilt ram has sheared off. Thery are trying to say that it was done before the accident and that it was caused by a seized pivot bush. He says that this happens quite a lot. So my question is, has anyone else ever had this problem. The boat year are also saying that it had been done before the accident due to corrosion and that I might not have noticed - not quite sure how they figure that one as the engine would have come out of the water in reverse. Advice from anywhere would be really helpful.
