Old analog meters on new Yamaha 70hp 4 stroke

I have a 1985 Suzuki DT75 outboard with an amp meter and tackometer. Will the old analog meters work on the new Yamaha 70hp 4 stroke? Is there a switch I can add to control *****ing at 50rpm increments?

If the Suzuki tach can be set for 12 pole alternator then it will work on F70.
If this is a F70LA model then would need to install the Yamaha Command Link Tach kit to be able use the varable *****ing feature.
