Remote guage"s

I have a set of guages and I want to know how to hook them up.They consist of the following:
DC outlets
VHF
Horn
Anchor light
Navigation Lamps
Bilge Pump

How do I connect these so they will work
Is red for a postive and black to a neg on the battery with the ground broken by the toggle switches?

Generally there is red(positive) and black(ground) wire run from battery(needs to a inline fuse or breaker installed) to a fuse or circuit breaker panel and then branched off to each switch.
