Manual Start 2005 F60

Hi everyone,

I have recently bought a new rib, fitted with a 2005 Yamaha F60. Just a couple of questions:

1) Does anyone know where I can download manuals for the engine/tachometer?

2) How do I override the electric start, say if the battery dies?

3) What are the funtions of the tachometer (set/mode buttons and displays).

Mike, go to the Yamaha Motor Corp website and download an owners manual, here's a link: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outboard...d_manuals.aspx . You can also buy the paperback version of the owner's manual and shop service manual here: www.YamahaPubs.com . To start the motor manually with a pull cord just turn the ignition key to ON and use the pull cord. The tach can display engine rpm of course, as well as engine operating hours if you cycle through the mode positions. It also has the idiot light there along the bottom for overtemp. The other idiot light will come on for low oil pressure. Engine trim position is indicated vertically along the right side.
