Control Cable Length

I am installing a Yamaha 701 Control box on my 14' fishing boat. The boat has a Yamaha 15ELH outboard. I have the control box and attachment kit , now I need cables. The boat measurements are : 36" from where the control box will be mounted to where the side and back of the boat are joined; 28" from this joint to the center of the boat; and 6" from this center to the shifting lever. These measurements round up to 6'. What length cables should I get? Thank you for your help.

if its only 6' use a piece of rope , cable etc to measure and make the run, keeping in mind you cant have any sharp bends and need enough slack @ motor end for turning and tilting
too little is no good and too much just doesnt look good
