I have a 1988 15HP (15GS). I'm trying to drop the lower unit. I've disconnected the shift linkage, loosened the four bolts that hold the lower unit to the exhaust housing, but can't get the lower unit to drop off. Its slightly loose, enough that I know its not the outer casing that is holding it on. Am I missing something? Is there a dowel or pin, or other bolts to remove, or could it just be corrosion on the shaft that is binding to the lower unit?
