running on the hose

hi all,
How long can you run an outboard in the driveway attached to the hose with the muffs? I want to make sure it's up to operating temperature as it seems to run well cold but don't want to cause any major problems.

'97 115 hp.

As long as you have good water presure and a good fitting flusher, you can run it untill the motor runs out of fuel. (if you wanted to)

It is generally safer to run the engine in a barrel and not on muffs, if you plan to operate it for more than 10-15 mins
