LCD Trim Indicator for Both Engines

On my 2001 250 EFI's the trim indicators on both LCD tachs read "1 bar" even with me trimming the engines up and down (trim motors work fine).

Is there a simple fix for this? Any help would be great.

David, if you tilt the motors all the way up and look on the port side of the hinge point up under the powerhead you'll see a plastic arm that rides up and down with the tilt of the motor. Just take some WD-40 and spray the pivot area of that sending unit and work it up and down several times to free it up. It just gets jammed up with salt minerals and grit and sticks in the down position all the time, it's very common. Also if you don't have one already go to www.YamahaPubs.com and order yourself a factory service manual for your motor. It's full of this type information and will really help you maintain your motor in top shape. Good luck.
