yamaha 9.9 4 stroke

have 9.9 kicker drawing fuel from main tank, keeps stalling out ball on the fuel line goes soft. remove quick disconnect from motor installed it on a new portable tank same problem occured should i look at replacining fuel lines and filter on the motor would a hole in one of those lines cause this problem

the only thing that will make the primer ball go flat is a restriction between the ball and the tank/air vent, seeing as you have replaced the tank (and opened the air vent I hope) then I would suspect the ball has been fitted the wrong way round, or the one way valve is stuck!
