2001 F9.9MSHZ RUNNING ROUGH
Motor Sat for a year so pulled plugs and installed new ones, replace water pump impeller, replace fuel filter, emptied old gas out of lines and tank and put fresh gas in with carb cleaner additive. I took Prop off and ran motor in water barrel idles fine opened throttle slowly runs good up to quarter throttle the coughs and farts but once passed quarter mark WOT ran good. So here’s my dilemma I took boat to the lake today to run motor with prop on I had boat on trailer the motor fired up 2nd pull let it warm up idling nicely , put in forward gear started to open throttle it coughed and farted from idle all way up to full throttle. Any ideas on where to look i'm going to pull carb tomorrow for a cleaning and hoping that’s what my problem is.
