Alternator on an outboard??

[1985 90HP Yamaha]

Ok silly question...do all outboards have an alternator to re-charge the starting battery? I have a 1985 90 hp Yamaha and had no idea it would have an alternator. I thought I would have to Charge my starting battery every so often??

I think you could safely say that any outboard that has an electric starter on it and requires it's own starting battery has an alternator to recharge that battery ,
