Hi I have a yamaha 8a serial no 647 s 16473 and have no idea as to yr of manufacture and can't seem to find a manual that covers this one. Any ideas?

It's a 1971/1972 8A model 647, sometimes reffered to as P-165. You have a short-tail. I have the L, Long-tail, used behind sailing boats. I'm still looking for a service manual.
655 (as in 8A 655 S 12345) is a newer model 1972-1977, mind that NOT all te parts are interchangable allthough both 647 and 655 are 8A.Comment
