• 115 Carb Re-build

'92 115 was bogging down at half throttle.
After reading many posts, decided to break down,
clean, and re-build carbs. I'm not very mechanical, but went exactly by the manual. I used Sea Foam spray which was great at unlocking
stubborn screws and plugs, as well as, cleaning.
Motor ran great all weekend. Thanks for giving me the confidence to attempt the re-build.

gwh,
Congratulations on your successful carb re-build, and welcome to the forum.
What manual do you have? Did you install a carb kit, or just teardown and clean? Feedback from the members helps all of us to learn.
Try to run your outboard at least once a week, even in the off season, and even if it is just with the earmuffs and garden hose. Letting the motor set up for months at a time is the worse thing an owner can do - if you have to put the outboard in storage, follow the procedure in the owners manual - fogging, adding a fuel stabilizer, etc.
Good luck ,

Ken,
Used the Seloc manual for re-build. Replaced all
gaskets, seals, and O-rings. Thanks again for your expertise. I really enjoy the forum and have learned so much.
