Hello,
I have a 8hp 4-stroke electric , 2004 -- It has remote throttle and also tilt switch back on the motor. One day it started tilting up all by itself, no one around the boat. Tried tilting it down and would go down, but went right back up when I released to switch. I pulled the fuse, but then motor won't turn over. When I put fuse back in, it was normal, then the next day it did it again. I disconnected the switch back at the motor, then tried the switch at the throttle. It did the same thing. Someone said it may be the relay or solenoid? Can the relay's be cleaned? I heard they cost around $200.00.
