  • 2004 HPDI 250 hp Water spilling from Cowling?

Last weekend while running I noticed that there was water running down the bottom cowling. The water was warmer but not ho than the water coming out of the Pee-er (Sorry for the non technical terms). It was warm, but not hot. i was not loosing any pressure from the pee-er or rise in temperture on the motor. it was just an observation. Yesterday I took the cowling off and ran the motor and did not see water coming from anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. also, what top end RPM's should i be turning? I am currently turning around 5700 WOT.

    Thanks Damian

Hard to say where the leak is but if there is water spray on engine it does need to be repaired as soon as possible, need to remove cowling and run it on water to see if can find leak.
5000-6000 rpm's is the rpm range on that motor.
