Working on friends 1985 Yamaha 90 Hp. He has taken to various shops.
Horn stays on when switch is in run mode, engine is not running.
New thermo coupler on head.
Oil Tank is full.
Horn or sending units are causing engine to go into low rpm mode once engine is running.
The boat has an analog oil gauge on dash that is not working. When I disconnect the wire harness for this guage horn stops. My guess is that the indicator module is stuck in low oil mode.
Can any one confirm my theory?
I am assuming many 90's run without oil level lights. Can anyone send me an electrial diagram on how these are set up and will the engine set the horn off only when the tank is low?
