I have a 25ESD motor. Recently I was fishing and after running about 15 minutes at half speed the motor just about shut down. It would run but was spurttering. Next day, I changed plugs, then I hooked up the water hose and ran the motor at half speed. After about 25 minutes the motor shut down like it has done the day before. Then I noticed that there was no water coming out of the water pump, so I turned it off. I have ordered a water pump kit. What do you think is happening? I, also, cleaned out the fuel filter; no sign of any water.

It sounds like you are overheating and going into limp mode. If you did not hear the overheat alarm it may not be working.

When you pull your impellor, check for any missing pieces. If it's shredded, you'll need to back-flush before reassembling.
