2000 yamaha 200 hpdi help

I have a 2000 yamaha 200 hpdi on my 23' mako center console....The past two time I took it out it has no power and chokes down like its not gettin enough fuel... I changed the plugs and changed out the feed line filter, but still no luck. I can let it sit for a lil while and crank it and it will run fine for a minute then it just loses power and dies.. I can cruise at 2000rpm and it does fine but try and open it up and nothing...
Anyone have the same problems or any advice??

Replace the 2 basket filters in the high pressure pump. They aren't in the parts manual but they do exist. I had the same problem about a year ago. I found the basket filters at Napa Auto Parts Part # 2-15001 $1.49 ea. size (6x3x12)

I had the same problem and the primer bulb would not get stiff. I replaced the LP pumps, they had a large hole in the diaphragm's.( 200 ox). Runs like new. Only has 200 hrs on it. Hope this helps,RV
