Speedo meter

99 C115 Yamaha, have had ongoing problems with fuel guage. Knew the reading had to be incorrect. Full tank of fuel and would only show quarter of a tank of fuel, after a short run the fuel empty would start flashing. Assumed sending unit in tank, and removed and replaced. No change in problem.
Wiring harness from boat: Red From meter: Red
Yellow Yellow
Grey Grey
Blk Blk
Blk Blk
Pink (tank) Wh
Wh/blue stripe

2nd harness has blue, and black wire assume for meter lighting.

No dip switches I can see unless you have to take the meter apart. Due to the age may not be the original meter?

The wire ID did not come out like I wrote it, so this is it in a different form.
Meter-red, yellow, gray, blk, blk, grey, white, white/blue stripe.
2nd harness blue, blk.

From harness-- red, yellow gray, Pink (tank), blk, blk.
